Family fish taverna “Alfadia” first opened in 1968, in Stegna, the fishing village of Archangelos. In 2008, Savvas, Stamatia and their family took over and renamed it “Gorgona Alfadia since 1968”, which is still how it is called until today.
As we keep improving both the place and our services, we welcome you with original Greek recipes as well as new delicious ideas!
Gorgona family fish taverna is located in the picturesque beach of Stegna, in the East part of the island. With a majestic view to the endless Aegean blue, paired by the gentle sounds of the sea, which is just a stone’s throw away, we invite you to enjoy delightful moments with a breezy sea view, in every season and every hour of the day!

You will be greeted by Savvas, our host, who welcomes you warmly, and meet the rest of the team who will serve you with a smile. The kitchen staff is ready to impress your taste buds.

Our cuisine philosophy is based on quality and the fine balance of flavors. The raw materials that we use are locally sourced and the fish is always fresh, daily caught by local fishermen.
Here you can enjoy traditionally cooked dishes from the local and Greek cuisine, prepared with love and passion. You can also ask about our special dishes, inspired from new culinary techniques, although still based on the balanced Mediterranean diet. Choose your favorite fish, sea food and fresh oysters from our aquarium and give us the opportunity to satisfy your palate!
Do not miss the “Nethonos greek salad” perfectly paired with the “Archangelos traditional bread, baked in the wood oven”. Look out for our specialties – “pineapple prawns” and “sea food risotto” with orzo pasta. Tsampiko’s “carpaccio” is definitely a must as well as the traditional “pearly razor fish (rozeti) with garlic dip”. Make sure to leave some space for a sweet treat, and Stamatia’s homemade limoncello.
